About the Race The U.S. 10K Classic is a 10 kilometer (6.2 mile) road racing event and a 100K Pro Cycling event. Held in Atlanta, Georgia, on Labor Day each year, the race is the Grand Finale event of an entire weekend of sports and entertainment beginning with the Family Festival. The race is run on U.S. Hwy. 41 (Cobb Parkway), a major four lane highway, which offers a straight but challenging 6.2 mile course. The race participants include elite athletes from around the world, national and regional 10K running champions, national and regional cyclists, national and world champion inline skaters from around the world, wheelchair athletes, corporate team runners, race walkers, walkers and of course people who just love to participate.

Volunteers The U.S. 10K Classic is a volunteer-driven weekend. All volunteers receive a volunteer t-shirt and free entry into White Water on race day. To volunteer, visit the website at www.us10k.org.
Family Festival Pick up your race packet and enjoy the festivities at the two-day Family Festival, Saturday and Sunday, August 30th and 31st at the Galleria Gardens. the Family Festival has something for all ages, including a huge interactive kids area, live entertainment, vendor booths featuring product sampling and demonstrations, athletic apparel, fitness gear, an artist market and much more. Festival hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Kid's Classic Races .5K and 1K races for kids 11 & under. Saturday, August 30th, 2008. Race starts at 11 a.m. Race day registration opens at 10 a.m.
Pre-Race Dinner Saturday, August 30th 2008, Galleria Gardens at the End of Summer Concert; 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Meet friends, family and fellow racers to carb up the night before the race. Tickets $10. Includes all you can eat.
